In summary, I would think the METAR file would be changing after each flight session. I would have expected the rainy/stormy weather to be reflected in the METAR now. When I then go back and start a new session, it’s back to clear weather again. Upon completion of the flight, I close down XP & ASXP. Once the flight starts, ASXP injects the weather as expected, rainy/stormy for example. If I start XP, the weather indicated during aircraft/airport selection shows ‘Clear’ weather. While the METAR file has the same date/time, the winds.wcx file shows a current date/time, as expected. I would think the METAR file would have a new time stamp on it.
After completing the flight, the METAR file is -still- dated 5/26/19. But in my example, prior to starting XP & ASXP, the METAR file is dated 05/26/19. This is happening in a single PC Environment.
